At a Glance is a collection of free measurement converters, calculators, and short reference guides. The goal is simple: put the numbers you need in one place, with enough context to use them confidently. We display all the relevant results, without signing up or installing anything.
Tools are grouped into four hubs — Measurements & Conversions, Finance, Health, and Computing. Each tool runs in your browser. Where it helps, we show formulas, worked examples, and links to longer guides that explain the ideas behind the calculator.
Most converters use fixed conversion factors (for example, 1 inch = 2.54 centimetres exactly). Financial and health calculators apply published formulas — mortgage amortisation, Mifflin–St Jeor for BMR, U.S. Navy body-fat equations, and similar — and state those formulas on the page. Live currency and crypto rates come from third-party APIs when you open a rate page; we label when data is fetched remotely.
We aim for accurate, plain-language explanations. Guide articles cite standard references where practical (WHO BMI categories, RFC documents for networking, POSIX permission notation, and so on). When a number is an estimate rather than a measurement — body-fat from tape measures, training heart-rate zones, weight-loss timelines — we say so and note limitations.
